Sea Lion Attaches Grabber Device to Rocket

A California sea lion, zalophus californius, attaches a practice D5 grabber device onto the tail cone section of a mock ASROC missile underwater about 90 feet deep off of Point Loma, San Diego, CA in 1974. Sea lions were used to recover inert antisubmarine rockets tested from the war inventory.
